Environmental RemediationOur approach to environmental remediation and restoration is to focus on activities that accelerate site cleanup, closure and return to beneficial reuse. This approach is based on two critical elements; a comprehensive and participative regulatory process that results in expedited approval of decision documents and in-depth knowledge of treatment alternatives and presumptive remedies. Comprehensive and participative regulatory interfaces achieve responsive approval of regulatory documents, enabling acceleration of remediation and closure construction activities. The success of this approach has been demonstrated by obtaining regulatory approval of 12 major decision documents representing almost $120M of remediation work during a single six month period. Our in-depth knowledge of treatment alternatives and use of presumptive remedies is based on 20 years of estimating, designing and implementing soil and groundwater remedial technologies at over 250 sites. We have successfully implemented several passive, in situ remedial technologies such as phytoremediation for groundwater contaminated with solvents.
